This Privacy Policy explains how Lipslate (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use our mobile apps, website, and related services (the “Services”).
Who we are
The controller of personal data processed through the Services is Oleg Gaidarenko, Individual Entrepreneur, operating as Lipslate. Privacy inquiries may be sent to privacy@lipslate.app.
Information we collect
- Account and contact data, such as your email address, display name, sign-in provider, and provider-linked account identifier when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Subscription and transaction data supplied by Apple App Store or Google Play, such as product, subscription term, status, entitlement, transaction identifier, and purchase token. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Technical and service data, such as IP address, app version, request timestamps, authentication events, processing status, and server error or security logs.
- Uploaded and generated content, including video, audio, transcripts, translations, and generated results needed to provide dubbing and lip-sync features.
- Support communications and other information you choose to send us.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services.
- Authenticate users and manage accounts.
- Process uploads and generate translated or lip-synced results.
- Verify subscriptions, entitlements, eligibility, receipts, cancellations, and refunds through Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Diagnose failures, maintain reliability, and improve processing quality.
- Prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use uploaded or generated media to train general-purpose or shared artificial-intelligence models.
Legal bases in the EEA and UK
Where applicable, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, based on your consent where required, or for legitimate interests such as securing, maintaining, and improving the Services.
How information is shared
- Infrastructure and content-processing providers. Uploaded media, extracted audio, transcripts, translations, processing instructions, and generated results may be processed by cloud infrastructure and artificial-intelligence service providers solely to provide, store, secure, troubleshoot, and deliver your requested result.
- Apple and Google. We exchange subscription and transaction data with the applicable app store to verify purchases, entitlements, cancellations, and refunds.
- Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the Services, our rights, or other people.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
Service providers process information on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
International transfers
Your information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use recognised safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
- Account data is retained while your account remains active and for any additional period required by law.
- Subscription, entitlement, and transaction records may be retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
- Uploaded and generated media is retained while needed to provide the requested feature and remains associated with your account until it is deleted by you, removed under our retention processes, or deleted with your account.
- Operational, security, and diagnostic logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for reliability, security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- After account deletion, we retain a one-way hashed Apple or Google provider identifier solely to prevent a permanently deleted identity from registering again. This record does not contain the raw provider identifier, email address, Firebase user ID, or profile data.
Account and data deletion
You can permanently delete your Lipslate account from within the app by opening Settings and selecting Delete account.
If you cannot access the app, request deletion by emailing privacy@lipslate.app from the email address associated with your account.
Account deletion removes your account profile, projects, uploaded media, and generated results, except information we must retain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Deleting your Lipslate account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel the subscription through the applicable store.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact privacy@lipslate.app. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable minimum age. Contact us if you believe such information has been provided.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The date shown at the top identifies the latest version.
